Jake is a friend of many accomplished names in the
Trop-Rock genre. Although he grew up playing guitar and
singing in a band, it wasn't until he got a musical
"shot-in-the-arm" from colleague and friend, Eric
Stone that his tropical creative juices began to flow.
Drawing on his love of Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley
and Jerry Jeff Walker, Jake carried his talent to Baltimore native
and Captain Quint alumnus, Kevin
Johnston, to work on songs for his first CD.
Crisp, spot-on vocals, nice melodies and tight
harmonies accentuate his premier work, Life on The Gulf.
Relevant lyrics and a contemporary sound gives this young
trop-rocker an air of instant legitimacy among his peers.
All you have to do is listen to his title track and you'll see
what I mean. I fully recommend it.
