The fried grouper sandwich, served on sourdough bun, is sinfully good.
They have a wonderful area out on the edge of the water under the palm trees with live music on the weekends (or Radio Margaritaville.) Lots of shrimp boats around. Funky place to enjoy a cold bucket of beer and some boiled shrimp. |

Father Rooster is just a short drive from Coco and is the
perfect spot to have a romantic dinner, a family meal, or a
casual drink with friends. In Costa Rica, all buildings must be 50 meters from the ocean. Father Rooster is grandfathered in as it is a 90 year old farmhouse built in 1917. The food is great! They have a famous drink called a Tica Linda that is huge and does not taste strong. They told me that there are 3.5 shots in each Tica Linda after we already had two of them.... Also, it is very cheap, good quality and great service. If you are looking for a beach bar, this is the best that I have seen in the entire world!
